Have just noticed its off frequency on recieve above 400mhz tx is fine rx is off , i guess this radios going in the bin now.

ALPU is checked in official firmware!
Your ALPU code is corrupted in the firmware, so the firmware can only be used with a disabled license. http://infotex58.ru/forum/index.php?topic=1148.msg10771#msg10771

Installed the firmware on above link now its perfect screen is on instantly much better , all sorted now and grateful for the help fixing a dead radio,

When it boots it briefly shows the 2 VFO's , then its gone , theres just the battery icon on the screen , touch the menu or up/down arrows it then shows them on the screen as if they are switched off untill there used hope that helps describe it

when the radio boots now , it only shows the battery icon rest of the screen is blank until you press up/down arrows then the rest of it appears very odd but it works

It is back from the dead , some of the menu text and screen text was all missing but after a flash of firmware v49 and codeplug installed all seems to be ok

I can now get the radio to go into update mode , the green led comes on and i can flash using the CPS

that tool on that page is the only thing that will read/write the radio at the moment , but if i flash it again it still does nothing , wont boot up , so the radio is a brick if it cant be bought back to life i will just take it outside and shoot the shit out of it for target practice

i went to this website https://github.com/M7OCM/DM-32UV/tree/DM-32UV-Firmware-(most-common)

got the DM32_Fanti_049_20251106.bin firmware and flashed the radio using the tool thats also on that page after 100% i switched the radio off , to reset the radio and nothing it was dead

Did you make a backup copy of the 25Q16 flash memory?

no , so its a brick then ? or do you have a copy of that?

Using tool and firmware from https://github.com/M7OCM

Disconnect the programming cable. Disconnect the battery from the radio for 1 minute, then reconnect it. And try turning it on.

Done all those procedures its dead left battery out for 5 minutes makes no difference tried everything cant even read in CPS connection fails

if i use the tool to read it from the website it will read the radio and flash it , but nothing else works

How did he die? Why did you think it was a firmware issue?

Using tool and firmware from https://github.com/M7OCM

it killed the radio , wont switch on no didplay , wont reset , wont enter upgrade mode any way to fix it ? power is getting to the radio as i hear noise from the speaker it just wont boot or enter upgrade mode no  led is on any way to fix this or is it a complete brick ?

I need some help with a bricked DM32UV wont enter firmware update mode , wont reset , cant do anything with the cps does not read the radio screen is totally black no display is there a way to flash this and revover it ??
please can someone attach any files i need to be able to recover this radio from the dead.

You guy's are very good at what you do is there any chance of editing firmware 49 posted on this group , so when scanning the display switches off? and comes back on when a signal breaks the squelch , that would make it a far better radio
